Perle

About Perle

Perle is an AI infrastructure company building expert-driven training data, evaluation systems, and applied AI products for the world's leading labs and enterprises. Headquartered in San Francisco with experts across more than forty markets, we specialize in the work that requires real human judgment: domain expertise, linguistic nuance, and cultural fidelity that generic data vendors cannot deliver.

Role: Freelance Remote Speech Recording Contributor

Is Chinese your first language? Do you also enjoy a good conversation in English? Then Perle AI wants to hear your voice! Your recordings help build smarter, more inclusive speech technology that understands how real people actually talk.

You will be joining a global community of over 52,000 freelance contributors who already work with Perle. No experience is needed. Just bring your voice and your stories, from wherever you live.

2. What you'll do

• Have relaxed, English conversations about random topics. No explicit or personal topics.
• Be yourself! Speak the way you normally do with your accent. Your English does not need to be perfect, because your natural accent is exactly what we're looking for.
• Record whenever it suits you, on your own flexible schedule.

3. Who can apply

• Your first language is Mandarin, Cantonese or another Chinese language.
• You are comfortable chatting in English for 15+ minutes.
• You can live anywhere in the world.

4. What you need

• A smartphone or computer with a working microphone.
• Headphones or earphones (required).
• A stable internet connection.
• A quiet room. Light everyday background noise is fine, so no studio is needed.

• Apply and confirm you meet the requirements.
• Sign a freelance contributor contract with Perle. It sets out the project terms clearly, so you know exactly what to expect before you begin.
• Start recording and join our community of 52,000+ contributors worldwide.
