Job Description: Freelance Software Engineer – IBM Company: IBM Position: Freelance Software Engineer Location: Remote / Flexible Job Summary IBM is seeking a highly skilled Freelance Software Engineer to join our dynamic, innovation-driven team.
Collaborate with cross-functional IBM teams to understand project requirements Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following IBM engineering standards. The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that support IBM’s digital transformation projects.
This role is perfect for professionals who thrive in flexible work environments and excel at solving complex technical challenges. Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing software features. Integrate APIs, cloud services, and third-party tools as needed. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions.
Ensure software reliability, security, and performance optimization. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred). Proven experience as a Software Engineer / Developer (freelance or full-time). Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design. Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience working on AI/ML, automation, or enterprise applications. Knowledge of microservices architecture and API development. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
