We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Embedded Software Developer to join our team as a long-term partner. Key Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software using C/C++.
• Implement secure bootloaders (e.g., STM32, TI, NRF) in compliance with current security standards, including the Cyber Resilience Act.
• Design and develop drivers and controls (PWM, ADC, CAN, etc.) and other interfaces for motor control and power electronics applications.
• Conduct code reviews, refactoring, and defect analysis, consistently applying Clean Code principles.
• Further develop a Python library for test automation, including Pytest, relay boards, external ADCs, and GitLab Pipelines.
• Create precise and traceable architectural and project documentation.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Regular presence in Kempten is mandatory.
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Profound knowledge of Embedded C/C++ and expertise in software and system architecture.
• Proven experience in hardware‑near development and proficient handling of datasheets.
• Knowledge of control engineering and power electronics is a significant advantage.
• Proficient with Python and Linux, including for the automation of development tasks.
