Work will be connected to the Berlin‑based Sponge team, with the ability to work from the Berlin office regularly and when required (particularly during onboarding and key project phases). The role will work closely with existing internal team members to support pace, quality, visibility and coordination across a larger product initiative.

Supporting coordination of internal team members and freelance specialists. Escalating timeline, scope, resource or quality risks early and helping the team re‑plan where needed. Experience coordinating freelancers, internal specialists or cross‑functional production teams would be beneficial.

Job Description Sponge Compliance is looking for an experienced Freelance Project Manager to support a significant product upgrade of our compliance learning library.

The work will focus on planning, coordinating, and supporting the delivery of a large‑scale compliance learning content upgrade, ensuring workstreams remain organized, visible, on plan and time, and aligned as the wider product initiative progresses.

The work will happen in parallel to business‑as‑usual client and internal activity, so we are looking for someone who can bring calm delivery management, clear communication, and strong coordination in a fast‑moving environment while focusing on this mission.

Assignment Overview Assignment is expected to be approximately 2.5–4 months, with direct start. Project Manager support required soon, with start dates ideally in June or latest July. German language skills are required, paired with English communication skills. Job Responsibilities Planning and coordinating assigned library upgrade workstreams.

Managing timelines, actions, responsibilities, risks and dependencies. Keeping stakeholders informed through clear updates, meeting actions, documentation and status reporting. Supporting handovers, review cycles, quality checkpoints and delivery governance.

Helping maintain momentum, visibility and coordination across a high‑volume learning content upgrade. What We Are Looking For Proven project management experience, ideally within digital learning, compliance training, content production, SaaS, creative production or similar environments. Strong planning, coordination and organizational skills.

Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to create clarity and maintain momentum. Commercial awareness and confidence tracking progress, effort, capacity and delivery risks. Calm, pragmatic and solutions‑focused when priorities shift.
