Freelance Senior Test Manager – Payments / Credit Cards – Essen

12-Month Freelance Contract -Long-Term Programme

We are supporting a leading credit-card and payment services organisation with a major transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Senior Test Manager to take ownership of testing across complex payment and financial applications.

This is a senior position combining test strategy, integration testing, UAT, defect management and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end test strategy across multiple payment applications
• Define test concepts, test plans and test governance
• Coordinate System, Integration, E2E and User Acceptance Testing
• Lead Business and IT testing teams
• Manage test resources, priorities and dependencies
• Develop risk-based testing approaches
• Coordinate test execution across interconnected systems
• Manage defects through identification, prioritisation and resolution
• Define test entry/exit and Go/No-Go criteria
• Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders
• Produce test progress, quality and management reporting
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations and Compliance teams
• Support major releases and production deployments

Required Experience

• Extensive Test Management / QA experience
• Strong financial services, banking or payments background
• Experience testing complex transactional systems
• System, Integration, E2E and UAT testing
• Test strategy and test planning
• Risk-based testing
• Xray / Zephyr / ALM or similar

Knowledge of card payments, payment processing, transaction flows, settlement, reconciliation or financial messaging would be highly advantageous.
