Overview Soft Spect GmbH, a dynamic team of AWS-certified cloud solution architects based in Germany, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to contribute to our innovative cloud-based projects. You will work closely with our team to build robust APIs, microservices, and data pipelines that power our clients' applications.

Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable and maintainable backend solutions using Node.js and TypeScript. • Develop and deploy serverless functions using AWS Lambda, integrating with DynamoDB, API Gateway, and S3. • Architect and implement RESTful APIs for seamless front-end integration. • Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity using PostgreSQL and DynamoDB. • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality and reliability. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes. • Collaborate with our DevOps team to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD. • Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure adherence to security best practices. • Participate in daily stand-ups and regular sprint planning meetings.

Required Skills and Experience • Minimum 5 years of professional backend development experience, with at least 3 years focused on AWS cloud services. • Proven expertise in Node.js and TypeScript. • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, and related services. • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles. • Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL. • Proficiency in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. • Experience with containerization (Docker) is a plus. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) is a plus.
