Hamburg Part‑time Freelancer 50 € per hour Overview The Freelance Lecturer at Berlin School of Business and Innovation (all campuses, all faculties) will be the principal academic contact and leader for the assigned Course/Unit/Module/Dissertation/Project/Internship.

Your Responsibilities Summary of the position The Freelance Lecturer will be required to conduct teaching, supervise research, or combine both. Depending on the tasks assigned and as per the terms in the contract, the specific duties are: Teaching: Teach the assigned academic modules according to the curriculum and agreed timetable.

Amend or design and develop new curriculum for a Course/Unit/Module if required. Create learning material, including PowerPoint presentations and other supporting material. Provide consultation and mentoring to students. Guide students to develop relevant skills according to the objectives and learning outcomes.

Prepare students for summative assessment through guidance and formative assessment. Communicate effectively with students and provide regular feedback about learning. Play a proactive role in promoting the school through academic activities and thought leadership.

Monitor student performance or assist students in academic environments such as classrooms, laboratories, internships or projects. Supervise Dissertations, Projects, Internship as per prescribed standards. Participate in School’s activities as assigned by the Dean of the Faculty and/or Chief Academic Officer.

Research Supervision: Supervise Dissertations/Projects/Internship as per prescribed standards. Combination of Teaching and Research: Any assignment that combines teaching and research tasks as per the contract. Your tasks: Conduct teaching sessions. Mentoring and guiding students to achieve desired learning outcomes. Supervising dissertations.

Guiding projects and internship activities. Preparing assignments and tasks for assessment. Examination and evaluation related work. Providing regular feedback to students. Creating learning material and supporting resources. Performing any other academic tasks as assigned and mutually agreed.

Your Profile PhD or equivalent qualification with evidence of theoretical/practical knowledge in your domain. Strong knowledge of practical tools and techniques in your domain. Very good knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Fluency in spoken and written English (C2 level).

Very good organisational and communication skills. High social competence and assertiveness. Ability to maintain an overview even with high workloads. Resilience and flexibility. Scientific publications in a related discipline. Prior teaching experience at the university level. Professional experience in your field of expertise.

Knowledge of educational platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard). Sound knowledge of study regulations and rules. Support in achieving professional goals and development.
