Job Title Freelance Lecturer (General Management, Strategy and Leadership) Job Details • Job Type: Freelancer, Part‑time • Location: Berlin • Compensation: 50 € per hour Summary Of The Position The Freelance Lecturer at Berlin School of Business and Innovation (all campuses, all faculties) will be the principal academic contact and leader for the assigned Course/Unit/Module, Dissertation, Project or Internship.

The freelance arrangement offers greater flexibility, while the standards and requirements remain the same as for full‑time faculty.

Core Responsibilities • Teaching the assigned academic modules according to the curriculum and the agreed timetable. • Amending or designing and developing new curricula for courses/units/modules if required. • Creating learning material including PowerPoint presentations and other supporting resources. • Providing consultation and mentoring to students. • Ensuring guidance needed for students to develop relevant skills in line with learning outcomes. • Preparing students for summative assessment through formative assessment and guidance. • Communicating effectively with students and providing regular feedback. • Playing a proactive role in promoting the school through academic activities and thought leadership. • Monitoring student performance or assisting students in academic environments such as classrooms, laboratories, internships or projects. • Supervising dissertations, projects or internships as per prescribed standards. • Participating in the school’s activities as assigned by the Dean of the Faculty and/or Chief Academic Officer.

Additional Tasks (as assigned) • Conducting teaching sessions. • Mentoring and guiding students to achieve desired learning outcomes. • Supervising dissertations. • Guiding projects and internship activities. • Preparing assignment and task descriptions for assessment. • Examination and evaluation related work. • Providing students with regular feedback. • Creating learning material and supporting resources. • Other academic tasks as assigned and mutually agreed.

Essential Profile • PhD or equivalent qualification with evidence of theoretical/practical knowledge in the domain of expertise. • Strong knowledge of practical tools and techniques applicable in the domain. • Very good knowledge of Windows OS and the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). • Fluent in spoken and written English (C2 level). • Very good organisational and communication skills. • High social competence and assertiveness. • Ability to maintain an overview even with high workloads. • Resilient and flexible.

Desirable Profile • Scientific publications in a related discipline. • Prior teaching experience at the university level. • Professional experience in the field of expertise. • Knowledge of educational platforms such as Canvas, Blackboard, etc. • Sound knowledge of study regulations and rules.
