We are supporting a technology company in Germany in finding an experienced FP&A Tool Selection Project Manager to support their system evaluation and selection process. This assignment focuses on assessing the current planning landscape, defining requirements, evaluating vendors and guiding the organisation toward the right FP&A solution.
Project Overview The client is at the early stage of evaluating FP&A / EPM tools and has begun initial conversations with several vendors. They are preparing to implement a planning platform and require a Project Manager to lead and structure the full system selection process.
You will coordinate stakeholders across Finance, Controlling, Data and IT, define requirements, manage vendor interactions and guide the organisation toward a clear, well‑supported tool decision.
Scope The scope includes requirement gathering, vendor comparison, demo coordination, structured scoring, and preparing decision‑ready documentation for senior leadership.
Role Level Mid‑ to Senior‑level FP&A Systems Project Manager What We’re Looking For Several years of experience managing FP&A system selection or implementation projects Strong understanding of planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, OneStream, Workday Adaptive, Jedox, Board, Planful, etc.) Ability to run structured evaluation processes: requirements definition, vendor scoring, demo orchestration, documentation Solid grasp of FP&A processes (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, operational KPIs) Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate across Finance, Data and IT Someone proactive, organised and comfortable driving a project with clear timelines and deliverables Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical and functional needs into clear recommendations #J-18808-Ljbffr
