Key Activities & Responsibilities: • Implementation of the course (language of instruction: English), in particular: • Hypertext markup languages (HTML, HTML DOM, etc.) • Definition of Big Data and applications • Task of Big Data Management • Data architecture and ontology • Challenges in data management: Data quality and availability • Roles in data governance: Data owner, data user, data steward • Data base management (relational and non-relational databases) • Introduction to Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem • Methods for data analytics and data visualization • Implementation of methods in a relevant programming language • Business Intelligence and Data Science in Business • Preparation and evaluation of certificates of achievement Your profile • Relevant professional experience in the fields of Computer Science/Data Science • Place of residence must be in or near Hamburg/Germany (lectures must take place on-site or in a hybrid model; no option of teaching online) • Completed relevant university studies (at least a Master’s degree) • Teaching experience at universities is preferred • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Organizational skills and willingness to work hard • Experience working in international environments welcome • Must be eligible for freelance work if you are a non-EU citizen, e.g., you have full- or part-time employment or are a full-time registered freelancer Why us?

The opportunity: To become an adjunct lecturer at a university of applied sciences in Hamburg, Germany and to share your knowledge and passion with students from all over the world.
